Review & Tasting Notes
Finding a barrel pick of one of your favorite bottles in the wild can be well, wild! We just HAD to crack this bottle open and test it against its readily available namesake for a fair comparison, and it turned out to be a delightfully unique expression of the widely loved Double Oaked Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey from Woodford Reserve!
An innovative approach to twice-barreled bourbon creates the rich and colorful flavor of Woodford Reserve Double Oaked. Uniquely matured in separate, charred oak barrels – the second barrel deeply toasted before a light charring – extracts additional soft, sweet oak character.
