Review & Tasting Notes
A stellar pour from a working-man's bottle. This Speyside scotch is a great first step past any entry-level scotch!
Tasting Notes |
Color |
Ruddy Amber |
Nose |
The aroma is addictive with notes of brown butter, roasted nuts, marmalade, and more dried red fruits. Rich and sweet with fruity notes of tangy orange, glazed cherries, raisins and a hint of ginger |
Palate |
The mouth-feel is viscous and oily and the flavor profile reminds us of baking spices, toasted granola clusters, dark chocolate, and peach cobbler with a drying tannin on the back palate. Sweet and fruity flavours of apple and cinnamon crumble balanced with spicy notes of liquorice and cloves |
Finish |
The finish is medium-length with a cherry note and a bit of espresso. Long and rich |
