Maker's Penicillin

A tale of two whiskies, the Penicillin cocktail opens with aromas of smoke and peat and then gives way to a balanced sweetness and a pop of spice. Maker’s®, Scotch, ginger, honey and lemon recall the flavors of warm drinks, but in thie case, are best served on the rocks.

Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients for a Maker's Penicillin |
2oz |
Maker’s Mark 46 CS |
.5oz |
Islay Scotch |
1oz |
Lemon Juice |
.5oz |
Honey Syrup |
1-2 |
Fresh Ginger (disc) |

Candied Ginger (Garnish) |
Glassware: Chilled Cocktail Glass |
Prep: Muddle ginger in shaker and then add Maker’s Mark, juice, honey syrup and ice. |
Serve: Shake well and strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Top glass with Scotch. |
Garnish: Garnish with candied ginger. |
